Welcome to Charles Thompson’s Mission, Birkenhead.

We are so appreciative of your support. Please read on to see how things are different at the moment, and watch this space for changes in the future. Thank you.

Due to the new national lockdown announced by the Government of 4th January, asking people to stay at home, our building will be closed until the guidelines change. We will, however, continue to support the homeless community of Birkenhead and the Wirral, ensuring they have food, clothing and and essential items. We are also providing food hampers to families in the area who are living in poverty. As a member of the local Rough Sleepers Initiative (RSI) and supporting the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) we are actively assisting Wirral Borough Council and other service providers in the goal to offer emergency support and accommodation to anyone who maybe homeless. Due to the generosity of so many people at Christmas, we have enough food supplies to meet the demand. We are unable to take anymore donations for the time being.

Currently, we are unable to take any donations of clothing, toiletries and household goods, and are not taking any new volunteers at this time.

Emails and phone messages will be picked up periodically – please don’t expect a quick response.

Thank you for your patience.
